Customs 

Some holidays, such as Valentin´s Day, have been recently adopted by the Russians from the West and are celebrated in the same or very close to their "original" way. But most holidays described here have clear Slavic/pagan roots (Maslenitsa, Ivan Kupala Day) with some disseminations of Christianity. Most people though do not delve deeply into the history of one or another holiday but just enjoy it together with their loved ones!
